I'm sure they have call ahead...but they are a little family place....ingot the impression it's family there. An awesome mom and pop place....
No. I did not see anything of such. Just a friendly wholesome type of atmosphere.
Great food, great staff! Highly recommend if you are in the area snowmobiling!
This restaurant was unbelievably good. We went on pasta night unexpectedly and it was some of the best pasta dishes we have had in a long time. Food rivaled that of fancier restaurants in the surrounding area. Portions were perfect, great selection. Cant wait to go back. Staff super friendly.
Food was excellent, service was the same. Will be sur to stop the next time I go by !
Great selection. Friendly staff. Sausage-filled pancakes were delicious.
The food here was so amazing and delicious homemade style. Quick and large portions. Prices are good. Very friendly and welcoming. My family and I loved it. Better than the fancy restaurants we have gone to.
We really enjoyed our visit to Munroe's. My wife and I split a tuna melt platter. The fries were very good, and the tuna melt was a great mix of tuna, and just enough mayo to make it great. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere with a small town feel. They cater to us passersby doing their well best to make us feel like hometown regulars. I would recommend Munroe's to anyone who is remotely close to the area. You won't regret it.
Absolutely love this place. Everyday we went skiing, we stopped at Munroe's. Great way to fill up the tank before heading out on the mountain. See you next season!
Pleasant customer service, food, yummy and nice picnic tables to sit outdoors.
Awesome place to eat! Homemade food everything was absolutely awesome! Right on rte 3 and just off the trail for snowmobiles!!
Decent breakfast at a decent price. Nothing fancy, and the Bible verses on the menus were a bit much, but after days in the White Mts. a good breakfast is a good breakfast. Friendly staff, sanitary and quick.
Been driving past this spot for years, decided to stop in today with my family. The menu has a great assortment of options. Loved the fried clam strips I ordered. Very friendly family kind of feel to the place. Only one thing I can say I didn't dig was how small the tables were.. but it is a small restaurant, but the wait staff was very attentive & was quick to clear off the empty plates. Just try it out.
Was hungry and their BBQ ribs satisfied me!
Hidden gem in the Franconia Notch. Food was top rate. Wonderful family style dinner. Huge menu and seriously food was fresh, all homemade. Don’t drive by!
Nice friendly atmosphere. Good diner-type food. Nice bread pudding with whiskey sauce.
Locals place off two major highways. Seemed to deal well with the pandemic. Lots of outside tables. Most are shaded. Decent food.
This place rocks. Went in for lunch yesterday after hiking some mountains. Had a bacon and blue cheese burger with jalapenos, pickles, lettuce, tomato and onions. Split a mixed green salad with fresh avocado and house made dressing. They offered a vegan chipotle mayo, had to have it on my burger. It was so delicious. My adventure partner had the same burger, she loved it too. Had it with fries that were excellent and were sort of like steak fries, thick, filling, soft on the inside, crunch on the outside. We paired it with a couple different local New Hampshire beers 🍻. The service was awesome, everyone on the team was super nice and definitely cared about the food they served. They were funny too, without trying. Super casual and home like vibe. Pictures of the family and local history on the walls. We hope to go back next time we pass through.
11/10 best clam chowder I’ve had in awhile and I have chowder pretty often. Cute nice little stop to make if your going buy.
A day before we had breakfast at Pollys pancake, we weren't terribly impressed, BUT! Munroe is way better for many miles, absolutely spectacular, it now will be our place to go to while in the area hiking n camping, it's usually packed, Great waitresses, good portions, very friendly, clean, lots of locals. I give it 10 stars if 10 stars were available, I greatly recommend this place. J. R. New England,
Very friendly staff and seems to be family run. We went for dinner around 6:30pm with our 2 and 4 year olds and had a great experience. Service was prompt and food was good. The aranchini were tasty. The ribs were decent for a restaurant which doesn't specialize in BBQ. There were plenty of choices on the menu and all the food which came out of the kitchen looked great. There are around 15 tables so the place can fill up quick. The decor is different, lots of family pictures are on the walls, and it has a diner feel. If you are driving through and need a place to eat then don't hesitate to stop at Munroes.
Takeout order was perfect. Good food, good portions, and friendly service. We went back the next day for breakfast - tasty home fries and grits!
OMG so good 😁
The food was decent and the staff was very friendly. However, I had to give it one star because they clearly don't care about their customers' health or safety. While eating I observed the following behaviors: (1) customers and staff interacting at the service window inches apart, without masks, (2) food be prepared by staff with their masks pulled under their chin, (3) food delivered by staff with their nose hanging out of their mask, (4) tables being reused without even be wiped off, let alone sanitized, and (5) zero enforcement or even encouragement of social distancing or mask wearing of customers or staff. If you are high risk or actually feel like taking this pandemic seriously, I strongly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. It's only a matter of time before there's an outbreak linked to this restaurant.
Open during COVID!Generous servings, reasonable prices and the happiest most upbeat staff.
Honest family restaurant. Large portions & good value. The staff there are genuinely happy to see you & take care. Meatloaf, short rib pasta & chic carbonara were all dinner hits. Breakfast omelets are good as well.
Finally decided to stop here and get breakfast. We will ALWAYS stop here for breakfast now. Best Breakfeast place north of the Notch in my opinion. Service was amazing. Portions were large and food came out correctly and in a timely manner. I would always recommend this restaurant.
Delicious breakfast! Definitely recommend going to this restaurant!
This was great place that felt like home. Very cozy and the servers were so pleasant. The skillets during were breakfast were on spot and highly recommend them. The coffee on the other hand...
Their food is so good! Doing the best they can during the pandemic. I would definitely go back to them again
Good service and tasty food, enjoyed my supper and next day breakfast.
Delicious food, friendly staff and great for a quick bite. We both had the Redneck Benny meal, but I'm not a huge fan if sausage so I asked to change that part to corned beef hash and it was not a problem. I jad the grits on the side. Perfect texture and great flavor. My boyfriend had the home fries. They had so much flavor. And eberythinf taste better with hot sauce which they happily brought over. They were very attentive and filled out coffee as soon as it was low in the mug. I will definitely stop in any time I head that way.
Excellent place to have breakfast or lunch, decent outside seating, service was great
friendly staffbut I had to wait about 30min for breakfast orderoverall ok plhome fries were goodtoo much butter on toastreasonably priced
Jeff was great, excellent service, generous "plate full" portions. Overall a pleasant experience. Will visit again
After reading a bunch of good reviews my husband and I decided to stop in. It definitely lives up to the expectations. It's a small restaurant with great food and great service! You really can't beat the prices either. We ordered the Captains Platter to share. It came with fried Haddock, Bay Scallops, Shrimp and clam stripes (we substituted for whole belly clams for only $3). We also ordered a basket of sweet potato fries with home made honey mustard that's delicious! Beers are $3 each so again, very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place
Staff is great...chicken fingers are delicious!
Very nice place, home town feel. The eggs and toast were good, the Belgian waffle was excellent, the biscuit and gravy was too salty to the point of not being able to finish it, and I like salty food.
Great food, quick service. Doing their best during the pandemic. Would definitely come back
Very yummy! Hope to get to visit again!
Delightful little family restaurant. When we arrived for breakfast, the tables were full so, we sat at the counter. The owner/staff were very friendly and we enjoyed conversing with them. The food was delicious. Portions were large and prices were very reasonable .
It was very clean restrooms were clean as well the food was cooked well and good portions and prices were comparable for the area the staff were dressed well for the conditions were living in right now I would give them a 4.8 total very nice place
Great service, great food and the prices are very reasonable. Local diner-esque type of place. Great for breakfast. Highly recommend.
great food, clean and very polite staff!
You need to go here! Was there for dinner just over a week ago while in the area on vacation. Everything my family ordered was perfect. Also overheard comments from other customers who were equally impressed. Service was excellent as well.
Ordered one of each of the specials, outstanding! Highly recommend.
Best home cooking I've tried in NH and I've lived here 5 years now.
Drove back to Munroe's after taking the morning Cog rail train to the top of Mt Washington. Good choice. Service was fast and the food hot. It was our first meal of the day so I had some breakfast and some lunch. The menu has a wide variety choices.
This is a gem! Authentic homemade food that is so good! The staff is extremely friendly and the prices are good.
Enjoyed the French toast special, Euro eggs and Reuben. Waitress kindly added water to Dad's coffee as he likes it weaker than most. Not exactly wheelchair accessible in winter, but grab bar at door for the one step worked.
At first I wasn’t sure when we walked in.... not much of a greeting..... “sit wherever “ no hello! But once seated our server was very nice and he didn’t rush us. I got the turkey dinner and my daughter got the chicken parm..... it was delicious! We opted out of dessert because we were hiking the next day and didn’t want the sugar to keep us up! Great food Plenty of parking Maybe just smile and say hello when people walk in the door.
Great breakfast and lunch. I'd definitely go back there again.
